CAD Flower Gnome "PDX Portland Forest School" Edition

 

CAD Flower Gnome making another appearance on canvas for a donation. I have always enjoyed making these. The flower gnome is hand painted with inks and acrylics on bristol board glued to 1/4" archival foam board for a pop out effect. Wood canvas background was created using old sheet music and spray paint. Gnome on!

This new Bandit canvas uses pages from old Spider-Man comics and the first time available on a birch wood canvas. Sealed with a nice gloss varnish that helps add color vibrancy and protects against UV rays. This piece was created for this year's Rose City Comic Con. I'll have a special show price during RCCC. If it doesn't sell, it will be available at my online store afterwards.

This piece is dedicated to the peeps who loved making and sharing mix tapes, paying homage to the cassette tape from the 80's. It was the OG way of file sharing music back in the day.

This piece has been sealed with 3 coats of high quality artist archival varnish to protect and ensure longevity. Commissions of this piece are available in different sizes or colors, please email me for more info. The mix tape played a major role in my life and helped me discover some great hip hop.

"Invasion" is the first design I created since I moved from the Midwest to Oregon. I use this design for wheat paste and stickers used in the streets. It was created to kick off my invasion into the Pacific Northwest and West Coast.

Martin Luther King Celebration Mural in Elkhart, IN

Live graffiti mural Pop-Up Art Shows created to celebrate Martin Luther King at the Elkhart Culture Center, Indiana. Artists included Antony Yorke, Anthony White and Jason Schoppe. 

We used 3 wood doors for the mural which would make them light and easy to transport. First, we primed the doors.

 Next, we added images of MLK to give the background some depth.

 All 3 mural pieces finished. We used the words hope, unity and love to describe MLK's message and legacy. The murals will be hanging up in Elkhart's Culture Center for everyone to see. Thank you Elkhart for allowing Pop Up Art Shows to give a mural demo.

This is my fourth and final gallery opening for 2012. I most likely won't be pursuing anymore local exhibits as I prepare for my move out west. This has been a very successful and rewarding year for my art, I look forward to taking the next step in 2013. Thank you to all who have supported me this year, I appreciate it.
