New Studio

It's been a whirlwind of a year with lots of changes. My wife and I are excited to be expecting our second child next March. We decided that we needed a bigger house for our needs and moved across town around the end of summer. Luckily, we found the perfect house for our needs and it accommodates my son with his disability. The new house also allows me to have a bigger work space for my studio, which I'm very excited to have.

It was another great year at Portland Saturday Market and Rose City Comic Con. I'll be back at the market in March of 2018. Rose City Comic Con will be September 7th to the 9th. Look forward to seeing everyone again next year. Thanks to everyone who has supported my work this year, I really appreciate it.

I'm currently looking for any help with representation for galleries and other art venues. I'm able to create a completely new series or use pieces that are in my current inventory. Please feel free to email me at info@bumwhush.com if you can help.

Didn't make as much new art as I wanted to this year but I was able to expand my prints and prints on canvas selection. Now that my studio is setup, I'm starting to get work on some new art. I have a list of different projects in various mediums to work on so I should be busy through winter. I've also started work on a new limited edition art zine that will be filled with illustrations and a CD containing new music.

I'm no longer using any social media.I have permanently deleted my Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Instagram accounts. I simply have no need for social media any more. I'm going to focus more on using my website for updates and happenings now.

Again, I want to thank everyone who supported my work this year. Your support helps me to continue my creative journey and helps support my family. Looking forward to the new year and making a bunch of new art.

Wish everyone happy and safe holidays!

13 Kingdoms Series - The Falooginn

"The Falooginn"
14x11 Wood Canvas with 4 layer pop out illustration
(acrylic, ink, spray, mixed media?

News "13 Kingdoms" features a legendary mythic creature from a magical realm. This creature, known as the Falooginn, is a mischievous sprite-like creature who has a symbolic relationship with a worm in it's head. Their obsession with keys is what makes them a problem in the 13 Kingdoms. They have a penchant for taking very important keys used for various things such as cell doors, gold vaults, treasure chests, chastity belts, keys to the city, and other really important things with locks. No one really knows where they keep their ever growing key collection. Some kingdoms have taken a lax approach to keeping things locked up, which has caused all sorts of problems except for the thieves guild. They appear to be doing very well at the moment and fully support the "keep everything unlocked" movement.

This series will feature 13 different creatures. These will be made periodically through the years.
